Our Story

See Me Beyond Disability was founded by Merai Abo Alway and Jessy Alloush. We are two dedicated disability support professionals passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live independent and meaningful lives.

Growing up in Syria, we witnessed how individuals with disabilities were often misunderstood and had limited access to support. When we arrived in Australia as refugees, we experienced a community that values inclusion, dignity, and opportunity. Inspired by the support we received and the opportunities provided to those who need them through systems like the NDIS, we felt a strong desire to give back.

Together, we bring professional experience in disability and healthcare support. Merai holds a Bachelor of Psychological Studies/Psychological Science and has experience supporting participants with daily living, behavioural support, and community participation. Jessy has experience as a disability support worker and a background in healthcare administration, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours).

At See Me Beyond Disability, we provide compassionate, culturally respectful, and individual-centered support tailored to each participant's goals. Our mission is simple: to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing, ensuring every person we support feels valued, respected, and truly seen beyond their disability.
